How to do moving fade away?

Hi guys. Haven't played 2K since '15 and I'm trying to perform the "moving fade away" using these controls:

(LS)-----> (RS)----->

or

<-----(LS) <-----(RS)

Worked fine on '15 but on '19, it either performs a step back jumper or a regular standing still jumper. Am I doing something wrong? Playing on same settings on both 15/19 and using camera relative.

Examples:

2k15: https://youtu.be/3VdBYWX896M

2k19: https://youtu.be/JRNFSw5pdu0
*****************************************
EDIT

I'm able to sometimes do it now but not on a constant and reliable basis like in 2k15:

https://youtu.be/U-hQQUzhjHo

Maybe 4/10 times it triggers that animation.

Thanks

Re: How to do moving fade away?

R2 (sprint) with left stick, then push right stick up. I just figured it out after you posted your thread. So I'm still new to it too.

Guess it would be:

Hold R2, (LS)-----> then (RS) UP

EDIT: Near the end, I also posted a couple sequences where it didn't work because I was probably pushing it wrong or didn't have much running/leaning momentum. Practice I guess.

OMG. Thanks man, it worked! I've been trying all day doing (RS)---> or (RS at an angle) \\\\> and vice versa and never thought to push up on the (RS). LOL and thanks again!

That move in your video looked so cool that I had to figure out how to do it. I just got lucky after fiddling with it for about 2 minutes.

Now I have something to play with. Thank you for posting.

I've been in freestyle practicing all the controls and learning all the releases. That fade away was the only move I wasn't able to do it on a constant basis and was planning not to risk attempting it in game but you solved it.
