Are "Good" shot releases bugged?

Disclaimer: I am not complaining about shooting percentages. I think they are great this year and really make the game feel sim and less arcadey so this is not what this thread is about.

Anyway im curious if anyone else is experiencing this. Everytime i get "good" releases on my jumpers it feels like Brick Nation but my slightly earlys or slightly lates are falling at much more consistent percentage. Are good releases bugged or am i just tripping?

Seems that way to me and my crew as well. Without exact percentages from testing it definitely is happening that more late/early and bad shots go in more than good.

Yeah I'm experiencing this too, you can be wide open and brick the "good" shot timing but when its slightly early or slightly late it's falling much more.

It's so bad I'm trying to get slightly late and slightly early instead of the good release because it's so unreliable and the worst release you can get or as bad as getting a too late or too early release. 2K needs to fix this and balance it out better.

I dont think they're bugged, I just think people are so used to stuff being automatic that it changes their definition of a good release

Turn off the feedback and don't worry about it...

I have noticed this more on free throws than jump shots, but it does seem the good releases aren't dropping as consistently as slightly early/late. Guess it's the curse of the full white bar just like last year

I notice this when I use square, however when I went back to the shot stick (R3), The range on backboard jumpers floaters and such has definitely increased. The shooting is rhythm based but not aligned with the shot meter...if that makes sense.
