Does ps4 pre-order bonus code works for anyone?

I just get my NBA 2K18 from Bestbuy.
However when I tried to redeem the pre-order bonus code inside the box. It said "This code is invalid" when I tried to redeem it from PSN store.

Has anyone met the same problem?

The last few years I picked it up early, codes weren't active until the Friday of the early release. Not sure if that's still the case this year or if it's a new issue.

I was wondering what was wrong as I had the same problem. If others are as well I guess the codes aren't redeemable yet. I also got mines today from Best Buy.

I just picked the game up from GameStop at 9pm EST and got home around 10 and tried my code... it also didn't work so I went searching for answer and found this. Weird thing I see it says it expires tomorrow, actually. I'm hoping it will work at midnight because the whole reason I pre-ordered a physical copy at GameStop was so I could play before midnight and open some MT packs with my VC bonus.

Side note: GameStop was not allowed to sell it before 9pm and the digital version doesn't unlock until midnight, so I'm surprise don't Best Buy shipped it early in the morning. That's pretty cool for you, though!

2ksports said on their twitter : people who has digital codes from best buy, walmart and gamestop will work at midnight 12am EST, 11pm CST and 9pm PST

why not pre-order this through PSN Store instead pre-order this as digital code from Gamestop ?
