NBA 2K18 Same Player Portraits??

Hey guys, so in the recent gameplay footage we've been getting I've noticed it looks like every player's portrait is the exact same one they had last year, and players that are on new teams as well as rookies, have generated player portraits. For 2K this seems like a huge surprise considering their attention to detail is usually good when it comes to small things like this. but maybe by launch they could update the portraits. if they stay the same would this bother you guys?

I'm not sure but I think in previous 2K's the Updated players with new portraits before release date or on Day 1 Patch!

No this doesn't bother me. For example why update LeBron or AD up there when they still look the same?

LeBron and AD don't need to be changed and considering they use action shots for the portraits, it's pretty difficult to do that when the likes of Russell haven't played for their new team yet. For rookies they'll use Summer League shots and for trades and FAs I guess they'll use pre season shots a couple days after release.

Nevertheless, however, I do think they'll make wholesale updates when they can to showcase the Nike jerseys because Summer League jerseys this year were still the adidas practice jerseys.

Seems like a placeholder thing pre-release that would be updated on in a day 1 patch.

I wouldn't say it bothers me, but I'd prefer new portraits personally. Little things like that go a long way in having the game feel new.

I have a feeling these will be updated before launch/Day 1 patch. Because I think they'll want as many portraits with the Nike jerseys as they can, rather than the swoosh/ad free adidas jerseys.

The way that 2K has their current portrait system bothers me - specifically the mix between real pictures and player avatars. It's such a clunky visual display.

I wish they would go back to the old portrait system (neck up, real faces) so no matter what team players sign with or get traded to, your whole roster still looks clean.
