Real transactions but with some accommodations.

1. I don't care about salaries. One of the first things I did was disable the salary cap to make transactions as easy as possible.

2. I don't care about whether a guy was signed or traded. I just get them to their new team by the easiest path possible (even if that means manually releasing them with one team and signing them with another).

3. I don't care about draft slot. If my simulation gives the Spurs the No. 17 overall pick in 1987, I guess that means David Robinson isn't getting pick until No. 17.

4. I handle 98 percent of transactions before the season starts. If a trade commenced midway through a season in real life, I generally just take care of it before the season starts. I make certain exceptions for season-altering deals like Dantley for Aguirre in '89 or Drexler to Houston in '95.

5. I turn off injuries. If I leave them on, accurate rotations are a pain to keep up with. If there's prominent season-ending injuries (Larry Bird in '89) then I'll manually pull them out of the rotation for the year.

I've always been fond of editing rosters, even when it gets a bit tedious a times, just because it's fun to watch that final product form. So I understand the year-to-year editing is not for everyone. But it's so rad to watch the league grow and evolve year after year. That first time you run into a rookie Charles Barkley or steamrolling Kevin Edwards & Rony Seikaly in the Heat's first ever game or the Spurs taking shape with Robinson, Elliott, and Strickland, it's just... a quintessential basketball historian's experience.

Awesome, that's just about how I used to do it on 360 and a few times on PS4. Haven't been able to get the right sliders or sims stats this gen, but I think I'm just gonna ignore some of the crazier stuff and have fun with it.

Does anyone know how to fix the black socks issue when teams are on the road wearing white shoes in 2k23?

If you're using custom arenas and jerseys then there's unfortunately no fix. It's a bug that's been around for a few years now.

You can always go the cheeky fix route and apply white ankle tape to all the players if you really can't bear the black socks.

If you're using regular/standard teams, you can just change the sock colour at the team selection screen.

Yes! this is me as well.

I do all transactions to the point I research the actual transactions that happen and make stories behind them. I use old NBA 2K16 and 2k17 (xbox 360 mind you to use that for a Euroleague Final Four sim to use for my draftees as well.

I also boost up the stars overalls as well and their tendencies, so much so that I will make sure Kobe, LeBron and Tim Duncan get at least one MVP in their career. Those players that received their jersey retired, to me, need them retired. I messed up and allowed John Stockton to leave without his #12 in the rafters.

Thanks dave. Yeah everything was fine while I were in the 92 season but once I transition to the 93 season the socks go back to black whenever we are on the road while wearing white shoes. Definitely an immersion roadkill.

Good news. We just need him to be in those draft classes for a offline guy like me
