I dont think there is a 4pt rule but the rule changes do appear in game

That's almost as dumb as the one where automatic points being rewarded on shooting fouls instead of free throws.
And that's actually IN the game.

when i saw the automatic points in the game i literally laughed out loud. idk what 2k was thinking with that. But i wonder what the game would play like if someone were to overrule that.

They actually take affect in game. My favorite is changing the shot clock to 20 seconds. Scores are crazy high after doing that.
