Can i use custom rosters in my career?

I'm almost positive I could do it in the previous years... but how can I start a "my career" file with a roster other then default?

Example; .... Lakers let Yi off the team...how can I use a roster (hopefully from 2kshare) to start my career where lakers don't have Yi on roster?

Make a new MyCareer. It will have the updated rosters.. Hasn't been possible to do your own since 15

Oh ok, that's what I ment when I said I could use custom aka non default rosters....I meant in previous years.... I figured they stopped it this year, cuz you decide where you get drafted (based on ppgaverage. Thru college) ....cuz you could stack a teams roster, then make sure you end up on that team.

Thanks for replies.... updated roster is better then the default roster.

I now have another question maybe some one can answer. So far I've started two different "my career" files... I'm a center in both... so justice young is a point guard.

If I start a new my career, as a pointguard....would justice still be a point guard?

No, he would be an incredibly undersized shooting guard. This was the reason i stopped playing on my 5'11 PG career once i realized our backcourt was undersized then a MF

That sux ....I usually always do a center (cuz that's how I like to play... rebounds,blocks...dirty work) ....then when I need a break in make a pg so I can use my real height weight and just be a tiny guard (5'10) and run the offense.... I was hoping for the guard careers justice was a sf or somethin (didn't know if his position changed based off the users position)

15?
I used to use custom rosters in mycareer all the time, so much more fun playing against Jordan, Magic and Bird etc.....
So I am almost certain you couldn't do it in 15, pretty sure we haven't been able to do it at all since the PS4/XB1 versions started, 2K14 onwards.
So the last time would've been 2K13 on XB360 for me.

This is especially dumb on the Rockets... I'm a PG and Justice is a SG, so Harden is on the bench lol
