Storylines in MyLeague/MyGM Generated Draft Classes

I noticed that a prompt shows up in the offseason asking whether the user wants to enable storylines for the upcoming draft class in MyLeague and MyGM.

Does anyone have an idea what exactly these storylines do? Anyone have any examples?

I have no idea, I would like to know too.

My guess was that it would make the ratings fluid throughout the year instead of it being fixed. So someone who originally came in as a potential number 10 in overall can become number 1 in terms of overall ratings come draft time. Is that it?

I'm wondering about this as well. I just got the game and simmed about half a season with this on and did not see anything different with the draft prospects compared to 2k16. Social media posts seemed to be only about the players stats in games like last year and did not see anything that would represent a "storyline". Maybe this starts towards the end of the season?

It causes rating fluctuations within a given draft class; no obfuscated meaning on this one.

Really nice as an option, and would be much better if fleshed out.

I dunno, it seems rather obfuscated to me since it's not exactly explained nor are its effects clearly demonstrated
