Re: Why do people say the 2K camera makes the game look bad?

Personally I like my video game basketball to mimic that of the real thing (when I watch NBA). I love looking at the screen and mistaking it for an NBA broadcast. 2K excels in this area.

So for me (especially when watching footage) - viewing it from the same angle as a TV presented game is nicer on the eyes.

I totally understand the practical side (from a 2K cam) but broadcast is still user friendly for basketball (as opposed to say, NFL for example).

I'd gun Madden from a TV view aswell (soooo much nicer to look at IMO) but its simply not practical for Gridiron.

I like both camera angles to be honest. I usually use broadcast but I like 2k too.

Competitively, 2k cam is he ideal camera. It is also the camera 2k most likely intends to be llayed at. People are right though, it doenst represent real life basketball but if you like playing head to head and online games, its best. I personly prefer the realistic angle of broadcast but the relative control and the lack of view down court make it terrible for competitive purposes. Its easier to play on ball defense in 2k cam vs broadcast. While in 2k, you really on have to shift left right, down up. In broadcast, yo do all of this play shifitng diagonally.

I despise broadcast camera. It may not look like an actual game, but I don't think there is a single sports game where I've ever played in the broadcast camera. Madden's behind, baseball is behind batter for offense, NHL up and down etc.
You play up-down in soccer?

I cannot play in broadcast, must be 2k. I don't control things in a broadcast I watch them, so playing it and controlling movement in broadcast makes no sense.

If I'm not on 2k cam I just can't read the court. Hard for me to judge blocks , steals and fastbreak are out of the question. That one yeah 2k cam was down online I used the blimp zoomed in some not bad.

Re: Why do people say the 2K camera makes the game look bad?

The game for some reason does look a bit worse visually on 2K, but I simply can't understand how people deal with broadcast cam.

For some reason I just don't think it looks like it would on ESPN or TNT even though 2K claims they mimic the real life stadiums. The camera doesn't move in and out and side to side as much as it should when the ball moves, and fast breaks are absolutely terrible when trying to move the ball quickly.

With 2K cam I can see the court as though I'm actually out there.
