David Aldridge & Brent Barry in NBA 2K17, Could We See Multiple Commentary Teams?

I didn't really have a problem with Clark Kellog and I think Burke is kind of annoying. Not a gamebreaker or anything, I can live with it, I just don't like it.

I do like the inclusion of David Aldridge and Brent Barry. Pretty cool stuff.

I would also like for them to go TNT, ESPN, or NBATV. Don't know if it would ever happen but would be awesome. NBA on NBC had my favorite presentation package ever but we'll never see it again.

I got mildly excited for a split second when i saw "Brent Barry in 2k17", thinking it would be him as a player. Then i realized "why would brent barry warrant a separate thread?" and saw the commentary part.

All i can say is... meh. I don't know about other people but after a few weeks, maybe a month, i turn the commentary off and just play some music/show/movie/youtube or something in the background. I might make an exception if they had bill walton or tommy heinsohn, at least those guys would be entertaining albeit in an absurd type of manner.

I'm pretty amped about that short clip. Players seemed responsive, not long drawn out animations. The footwork in the post, looked like there was actually weight to them. Game is looking good.

As much as 2K likes to promote self-branding, it's overkill watching Kenny/Shaq/Ernie surrounded by 2K insignia that does NOTHING to reflect NBA style broadcasting in real-life.

They really should get the TNT broadcasting licence. The fact that they have 2KTV and now with the mobile app is already a major plus for their branding. They would knock presentation out the park if they added TNT to the mix.

As for this 2K17 snippet, the only real negative about this is those damn eyes rolling around in his head!!

2K needs to fix that. It can't be that difficult. Fix them on the camera, a few blinks and maybe the occasional glance away as if there was someone passing behind the camera man, done. All the players do it in interviews too and it looks awful!

I thought he was alright. He may still be in for all we know. Though I would say that the commentary has gotten a little stale. It was revolutionary when they debuted it but it's time of a shake up. Looks like we may be getting it this year.

How exactly does it do nothing to "reflect NBA style broadcasting in real life?" They literally open games in studio at a desk in a virtually created studio or live from the site of games for home openers, big season matchups and playoff games. The only thing NOT real life about it is having the 2K branding instead of an actual network. Some of y'all just say stuff and have no clue what you're talking about.
