New Card Designs For NBA 2K17 MyTEAM

2K has just posted the new card designs for NBA 2K17 MyTEAM. This one is for the pre-orders. Hopefully, with this little tidbit of information coming out today, we finally start hearing more about the game this coming week.

If you pre-order the NBA 2K17 Kobe Bryant Gold Edition, you will receive all three free agent cards.

Cards look really good this year and one thing I do notice is the gem under the overall. Gonna take a guess and say that is going to be for bronze, silver, gold, etc.

It's like a hexagonal diamond. Weird, and hard to make out (I don't think that shape makes much sense for that gem, given how diamonds are composed), but okay!

Gonna try and play more MyTeam this year, especially if it ends up they didn't fix the offseason issues for MyLeague Online (as in, having one at all).

Design is a big improvement for me but still have questions. Why is there no color? Will they still classify players as bronze, silver, gold, and so on. And how will they differentiate from other kinds like TBT or dynamic? I can't see any place in the card to add the TBT logo with out making it look filled up.

Another shocking thing to me is that a $100 pre order gets you two 99 Overall players right of the bat? It took me months to get my first amethyst last year and now people can get a 99 on the first day.

Given that Free Agent cards are temporary this year (apparently they can't ever be refilled with contracts? Someone correct me if I'm wrong), this would be, as TV Tropes would put it, a taste of power.

But if they CAN be refilled, then yeah, I'm with you. That ain't right.

I highly doubt they'll be refillable, which gives a sigh of relief. But if they are, that would be the biggest mistake made with the mode. It'll be dead before it even begins.

Really? That sucks. It's like a double edge sword. Either your pre order bonus is too good or your pre order bonus only lasts a few games.
