Right now, some users are concern whether or not we're going to be able to back out of the matchup without penalty. Players don't want to wait forever to get a non-GSW matchup or be "forced" play them due to new online penalties.
What I want is a penalty for quitting in game. I think you should be a loud to quit at the team screen or team option screen. As long as the game hasn't started you should be able to quit. But anything after tip off. You should have to wait 15 20 (even 30 minutes) before you can play your next game. Especially in team up.

You mean Heat-Cavs or any team that had LeBron on it.

The non-restricted area paint shots would help encapsulate some of the post-ups as well.

In addition, you can see post-up efficiency here for some of the top players here

If you need more NBA.com is your friend. Very easy to see how every player does on post-ups and mid-range shots for the most part.

If you want to start dragging it out to include rebounding etc. then that's a separate argument that's a bit harder to define from publicly available stats. It would also include discussing how most teams don't send many players to the offensive glass anyway etc. to avoid as many secondary breaks as possible off defensive boards.

Warriors got messed up in both the OKC and Cavs series because their transition defense was bad, either way, wouldn't dispute that -- just wouldn't necessarily blame it on their 3s, more perhaps quick shots or floor imbalance due to quick shots.
Those are some great stats, but wouldn't post ups include shots from the paint as well as shots from inside the restricted area? I can't dispute the numbers though. The only thing about EFG is it's really skewed to the 3 ball, however 3 is better than 2 so once again I can't dispute it. Good point.

The 3s leading to fast break points stat I pulled from ESPN a few weeks back, I wish I could find that thing it really shows how those long rebounds when the other team isn't in position to get back after a quick shot (like you said) leads to them getting burned in transition.

LOL maybe you just suck at offense? It's not the games fault you can't score.

I can score at will, I can't however, stop the game from freezing my player and moving him out of the way when I try to steal a pass that's in my face.
My bad bro, I didn't mean to come off like that. I have no trouble scoring on offense unless my suns are cold. I was just making the point that defense is already good enough in my opinion, and powering it up even more anticipating this GSW team would take all of the fun and challenge out of it. I'd love chasing curry and Durant around the perimeter, instead of just being able to hold LT and stick to them like glue. This post was just for the people who expect to just run into someone and stick to them like glue.

I was strictly talking about on-ball defense, but yes pass interceptions need to be toned down for CPUs and powered up for users, in the sense that you always get a correct animation.

Ps: great gameplay videos

Some of the post ups absolutely come from the restricted area. I would never say a post up is bad where you literally have your guy pinned under the basket. Just saying most post ups aren't coming from that deep. Also I still love post ups, I just think they end up being the biggest strength now for kick outs rather than individual scoring there. Playing inside out is still totally viable, it's just maybe not in the "traditional" way you would play inside-out. But without a doubt, some of the best scoring numbers come off passes coming from out of the post, so a post up big who can pass is extremely valuable.

Thanks and yeah I think the on-ball defense is great in this game too (Help defense is another story lol). A lot of people don't really know how to play on-ball defense properly which is why you see a lot of complaints about it.

One of the 3 will have a drop in their rating.

Well there's bad news going forward for the GSW. Draymond G. was arrested so hopefully he will be ready before the season but if not GSW won't be the same team going forward even thou KD is there.
