You need to give it more time IMO. It's not like everyone else picks the game up and knows all the controls. There's a learning curve for everyone.

Just waited several minutes and it finally connected. I closed the app if it took too long and also redownloaded the saves from the cloud.

I know how you feel. Trying to do cool moves takes alot of practice.
I was expecting NBA Jam style where you fly 5 stories high for a massive dunk, just like in real life!
But honestly, the game presentation & graphics are so awesome that it just makes me want to get better at it.

You're a fan of the Quakes? I lived in Rancho Cucamonga for 10 years, right up the street from Quake stadium. Just moved a bit over a year ago.
