Lighting looks better in replays than in game?

Is it just me or does the lighting look better in the halftime replays than in game action? I know people have mentioned how dark crowds look but they look a lot better in the replays.

Yup, I'm seeing the same exact thing. I could only imagine what the strange reason behind this could be.

On the PS4 version, the framerate is absolute *** during replays and cutscenes. Runs between 20-30fps in cutscenes. Trust me. You don't want to play the game at that framerate.

PC version, I'm waiting for a sweetfx preset to come out. Once a good one dropped last year I found it really hard to go between my Steam and PS4 copies.

Yeah I agree the frame rate does drop but man the lighting looks good. Don't get me wrong the game looks great but if they could adjust the lighting while stabilizing the frame rate I would be very happy. One thing live does well is the lighting and in my opinion this would surpass lives lighting.

The halftime replays have an effects filter on them

Yes I agree I noticed that right away. This game already looks amazing best looking game I have seen this gen and I think most games this gen don't look that much better then last gen so far but man this game looks amazing and looks so much better then last gen. But the halftime replays look even better. It would be awesome if they could get the lighting to look like that next year in game. I don't know a lot about making games but maybe they have tired to get the lighting to look like that in game and maybe the system's are just not powerful enough or something and maybe this is something that will have to want in till next gen who knows. Maybe having lighting like that in game causes the game to only run at like 15 FPS or something.

Re: Lighting looks better in replays than in game?

As I was watching the Wizards-Heat game the other night, I couldn't help but notice how bright the court and players/uniforms looked.

Now, 2k16's lighting is better than 2K15's, but I agree with you guys. The halftime highlights pretty much nails the lighting and how it should look in-game.

Hopefully they finally get it right for 2K17.
