What's the big difference? I used to play on Simulation and Superstar. But, over the years I've had less time to play 2K so I'm down to All-Star and Default which I might move down to Pro since I'm having trouble.

Re: Default vs Simulation?

For me the game is more like real life . I started in pro and then moved to superstar . This year this game it's amazing how the difficulty step up a little bit and it's great ,make the games very challenging

Re: Default vs Simulation?

Biggest thing you will notice from Default to Sim is the amount of fouls that are called, and the lower success of contested shots.

Default is more pick up and play, though not as friendly as casual. Sim is a bit tougher.
If you are gonna switch to Sim lower the difficulty level one notch lower than you normally play to get used to it.

As a 5'9 attacking PG, I need those fouls to be effective, as my Jumpshot isnt quite there yet.

Re: Default vs Simulation?

On sim i seem to draw a foul with my pg on mycareer almost everytime i go in for a layup. If it stays like that i might go default but maybe ut changes as my rating increases?

Anyone else had this? On superstar sim? Maybe its to small of a sample size as i only played 6 games.

Re: Default vs Simulation?

I've always played on Default - Superstar level for years. I can't really speak on simulation settings, but i find default/superstar incredibly realistic as far as game-play, pace, feel, etc. love it! It is however very challenging, so be aware of that. I probably win 7/10 games (offline CPU), but I've played that way for years so i'm used to the rhythm and style at this point.

Re: Default vs Simulation?

Wasn't superstar sim the "default" level a clue of years ago? Why did they change it back to pro?
