Re: NBA 2K16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here

Have ya'll looked through the rosters and seen the ball control for everyone?

Paul George has a 74 Ball Control.

Lebron James has a 77 or 78 Ball Control.

Dwayne Wade has an 83 Ball Control.

What this should tell you is that unless you're Jamal Crawford, Steph, or Kyrie everyone's ball control is like 85 and lower (those 3 have above 90). Most Small Forwards don't even break 75 Ball control, most SG's don't even break 80.

They nerfed Ball Control/Handling across the board for everyone.

Absolutely love how when viewing rosters, their alignment from left to right and how they are black and white until you highlight a player then they become colored. Whom ever at 2K thought to use this type of display, props to you. Looks great, beautiful transitions when flipping through the various rosters.

Re: NBA 2K16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here

Awesome game. A few things that jumped out for me:
1. First game after install; '86 Celtics (me) vs. '87 Lake Show. First friggin' play of the game, I'm guarding Magic with DJ, but I unwisely left a passing lane slightly open. Magic does a no-look-behind-the-back pass to Kareem, who finished with a dunk! To make it even better, Kareem didn't quite get up high enough and grazed the rim with the ball, which rattled around the rim a little before dropping in. Nice!

2. Next game, '08 Celtics (me) vs. '06 Heat. I do a pump fake from 3 point range with Ray Allen. Antoine Walker goes up, hits RayRay for the foul. Then, without any user input, Allen throws up a wild shot to get the 3 free throws. Awesome!

3. If you plan on going into the paint against the '95 Magic,
If you fake the funk against Shaq,
It will get sent back.

Only negative was the '86 Celtics having black socks

I would really like an option to search the logos by name instead of by Gamertag. I'm sure plenty of people have uploaded cool logos for Vancouver or Seattle, but you have to scroll through so many pages of stuff to get to it.

Also, the body scans look great. Defense is awesome. I just saw Jarrett Jack force Andre Miller into a contested three, because Miller wasn't fast enough.

Cheerleaders have different outfits as well.

I saw that Joe Johnson did his little post-up too, which I freaked out (in a good way) when I saw. He does that all the time when I watch Nets games.

Re: NBA 2K16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here

This game feels alot like 2K11, which is a good thing. But I find myself hard to stay in front of the ball handler on defense, not necessarily an issue with sliding, but the response time when I press the button is slow so I get beat alot. There's alot to learn, I anticipate myself playing this game alot and the last time I played 2K as much as I think I will in this one was 2K16, so I have alot to learn and adjust. Need to go over all the plays Da Czar did for my Milwaukee Bucks for my league. The chase down and blocks from behind like some said previous are a little excessive, might need to turn down the sliders a bit. Have no idea what the release point for any of my players are neither. But so far so good, except commentary which still sucks.

I want to also add that this is the greatest soundtrack to any video game ever. That is all.

Curious to what you don't like. (not being a smartass lol) Huge 2k guy and I agree with all the things you listed, anything you found that you disliked?

Quick thoughts...

Love the pace of the game, and the fact speed matters. Gives me real chance to make use of Ellis this year.

Like using the double tap for oops. I got a mean fastbreak with a pass from Ellis to George.

I might be in the minority, but I actually liked the right stick selecting from the other game. It was a pleasant surprise to see it in 2K16. Now, I don't have to take my thumb off the left stick to make on the fly changes.

The game feels more solid for on-the-ball defense. Granted, we'll see what happens when everyone gets used to the new controls; however, it DEFINITELY feels that I'm sliding less and not fighting for control of my player.

The big man left on an island with a guard or forward...Yeah, that threat is real, lol! Irving blew pass Turner like he was standing still. I was like "Holy ****! Didn't see that coming.", lol.

Loving the ball/rim physics.

Rebounding feels more organic instead of predetermined.

Jumpers feel smooth.

Liked the passing options.

Here's hoping that this will be the game to dethrone NBA 2K11 as the GOAT in MINE mind.
