I was messing around with fonts and found this one that has more of a "New York" feel.

I use Chris Creamer's http://www.sportslogos.net/ for the jerseys. I find teams with similar uniforms to what I'm looking for and edit them from there. It's not the best way to do it, but it's quick, and for concept art like this it works pretty well.
