Quite honestly, I think the reaction was apt and long overdue. The theme of the thread has been "Is there any way 2K16's classic players are as awful as some of the god forsaken offerings of previous next-gen 2K's?" (Simple Dumars, Bevin Durrussel).

With two years of awfulness and actual gameplay videos suggesting some of the older classics having the same problems, I think it was logical for many to temper their expectations. In fact, at one point, a few of us were admonished by others for choosing to believe things would be better.

Personally, I'm a little confused. The recent Allen Iverson screenshot looks pretty darn good, but there's no way the gameplay version we saw of him, even accounting for picture quality, would look as bad as it did by comparison unless 2K is updating these guys on the fly... which would be awesome.

I think it's tough to draw too many conclusions either way up to this point, but my cautious optimism has returned to the fold. Some of those screenshots, especially of the new guys, look absolutely wonderful.

Yes, the recent image of Iverson looks very, very different from what I saw in the stream, and I agree picture quality could not be the issue there. If they are actually updating these guys still, that is marvelous and impressive.

So far the only guy I'm shaking my head at is Rick Fox, from the stream he looks a bit rough....but being that Iverson was in that same stream and looks much better in another screen makes me optimistic...

It almost looked like someone edited Iverson's hairstyle in that video. I wonder if that's possibly this year or it was just a glitch?

One big thing missing from Jordan is his compression shorts from the 90s.do you think 2k can add those with the short shorts?
