2K made such a great move by bringing in guys like Leftos from around the community to work on the game. You can really see all the once "dream game" stuff that was talked about on here, NLSC etc. finally going into the game. I can't even think of a question to ask right now, that's something.

Alright I understand then. Maybe in the future we can see the progression after training camp? Maybe that's the best way to handle this going forward at least on my opinion.

If we can see the new overalls for the year after to game does some sort of automated training camp period for all teams, then that would be pretty cool and would also eliminate at least my concerns about this particular area.

Currently I believe we see progression right after FA but before the TC. What I would be suggesting is that the TC as a manual process be removed and in its place an automated TC type process, the player progression screen is the new TC screen and it shows you the new overalls for the year.

Currently, it's hard to explain from a rational point of view how players "magically" progress after FA. But it would be a lot more realistic if we were told essentially that the progression was based after the automated TC.

I hope this doesn't confuse anyone and that everyone gets what I'm trying to say. I know that I got confused while writing this, lol.

Anyway thanks for reading.

If a player doesn't get along with the coaches..will he be put on trading block?

I don't know if you could answer this...do coaches understand foul trouble in live game play?

Thanks.

We can create teams, edit, relocate teams, edit stadiums etc but in Online leagues we can't even adjust player rotation or save playbooks or any other coaching options, that's not cool if that's the case, i'm still hopeful, still a believer....
So you are gonna jump ship to live where there isnt even player rating editing? Makes sense if you dont think about it

From a user strictly playing myleague/mygm (haven't touched myplayer or myteam ,got thousands of vc i won't use ,lol) a big ,humble Thank You.

-I have been advocating for career progression peak graphs and it seems like this year with peak start and peak end we will get a version of this.

-I have been dreaming of team states. This is a big one regarding trades,FA moves and team building. At last we 're gonna witness tanking teams and trades that have a vision and context.

-You can't imagine how hard it has been without multiple saves along with autosave. One wrong cpu FA move(e.g. Dirk signing in Charlotte and Lebron in Phx) and your multi year save was screwed.

-One point i'm quite unsure yet is the trade logic.Somewhere i've read that teams that want to free cap space can value an asset like Joe Johnson as 4 stars.Let's just hope this doesn't mean a trade of a marquee player for an expiring just because a team wants to free up cap space(e.g. giving up a young promising asset for Joe Johnson).

Re: NBA 2K16 Developer Blog - MyLEAGUE, MyLEAGUE Online, MyGM & More

Still looking for some more detail on the 30 team control aspect. I know we have theoptions this year to select what we want to control but I just want to make sure that these things happen:

1) if I do 30 team control and I mainly control/play with Atlanta and I put all the other teams on auto except for player rotations, will the other teams trade among themselves?

2) can we change from auto to user control setting anytime during the season. For example, if I decide that I want to do staff signing for Newyork and Chicago but then I decide that I don't want to anymore, can I change it anytime or will these options only be available before you start your myleague?

3) can we resign from a team and pick another team anytime we want like in 2k14?

Man if these things are in the game this year..... I'm a total sim head but I still want to feel like I'm going against the CPU, not just gameplay wise but management wise as well. This will allow for that feel and you can oversee the league if the CPU does something out of character.

To this point I would also hope that teams are more "aware" of cap space implications and would be willing to give up an expensive expiring contract more easily if it were to free more cap space immediately.

For ex. lets say that the Celtics would like to trade david lee for joe johnson, and let say for the sake of this discussion that the difference in between the two is 10 million in favor of the nets, however JJ is valued as a 4 star player while Lee is valued at 3 stars and their overalls are the same. The nets should accept this trade on the grounds that they will be able to free up more space immediately.

Lets roll over into another scenario and lets say that Team X has a player on a 3 year 30 million dollar deal and tries to trade for an expiring contract (1 year deal) thats worth about 10 million. Providing that the overalls are within a certain range, the team recieving the 3x30 million player should be required by the recieving team to fork over more assets (draft picks, etc. )

Scenario 3.

A team with a ton of cap space wants to trade for a guy like joe johnson, they should be able to acquire him for as little as a 2nd rounder.

I say all of this to say that expiring contracts, and cap space in general should be seen as something important and valued to different teams in different ways.

Also, in regards to the "salary cap inflation rate", I hope that the game will adjust future contracts in regards to inflation.

For ex. a team with 100 million dollars in cap space in a year in which the salary cap is 120 million, shouldnt be able to go out and sign 4 superstars with that money.

As the cap increases, the game should have players ask for more money

A deal that would be worth 20 million dollars under the current salary cap for this season, should cost a team significantly more should the cap rise.

Re: NBA 2K16 Developer Blog - MyLEAGUE, MyLEAGUE Online, MyGM & More

Leftos, thanks so much for answering so many questions. That's really awesome and much appreciated.

I don't know if you've missed my questions here or if you can't answer them for some reason. If it's the later, my apologies for asking again. If it's just an oversight, if you can take a look and respond, that would be awesome.

I've brought them up maybe three times already in this thread and they seem to get lost. I try to do a lot around here to help people with the game and this mode in particular, so if you can hook a brotha up. . .

Quote:
1. Offseason: can we make trades all through the off season, including after the draft, during summer league, etc. or will we be limited to a tight window just before and during the draft again?

2. FA Signing Logic: has the decision logic for the FA's been changed at all? Specifically, have the following two issues been addressed. . . 1) players (especially young unproven ones) unrealistically unwilling to sign for minimum and 2) stars who remain unsigned going into the season, then signing for MLE or league minimum with CPU teams? The core problem in both cases seems to me to be that FA's get hard coded to sign for salary ranges determined by their 3 motivation ratings (play for winner, loyalty, financial security) within a set range determined by age, overall rating and potential rating. League experience/performance are not factors, nor is the given FA market for a given year (ex. FA glut at one position driving down available cash to spend).
