Why do they have to be much rarer if they aren't 100%? I'm confused ....

I liked the idea of sometimes knowing that a shot was going in upon release. Just like in real life, there are times that you shoot the ball and know it's going in. That could also add a little to the player emotion/celebrations. The problem with the way it was implemented last year was that the user had control over that success rate, moreso based on what animation they chose.

I would like to see that return, just out of the user's hand. Basically, make the 100% success on a shot be random; sometimes you get rewarded and "know" the shot is going to fall as soon as you take it.

The best news I can give you is that our shots engineer has made just about every knob I use to tune shooting modifiable on the server side post release just like a roster update. So if there's something the community isn't happy with I can tweak the system and update your games without the need for a patch. So what happened with patch 4 last year will never happen again.
The problem is solved to me then. If you can get the numbers right without a patch we are good. I hope you guys can get the real life open shot percentages to translate over into the game. But it must be harder then it seems. Thanks for the info.

I just hope that there will be identications telling when you get close or maybe a percentage bar. The "slight early/ slight late" has to big of a margin.

Percentage bar? Like, instead of saying slightly early/late have it say "__% chance of going in?"

No somethig like "_% of getting green release" after you shoot it because with the way its setup now, you can't really perfect your shot since you don't know how close or far away you were from getting green release since "slightly late" and "slightly early" has such a large margin.

Or maybe instead of it just being slightly late and slightly early they can add more to be more specific of how close / far you are from hitting green release.

Thats what the shot meter is for. That works for the most part except when the you release the ball RIGHT on the line and it's still slightly late/early. I get what you're sayimg tho.
