Its a shame. Ever since the last patch the Jordan Rec Center is no longer as fun as it used to be. Im disappointed in everyone complaining for more green releases. Yes this may have improved Online H2H but it has broken the JRC. Having people shoot 60% all on jump shots is ridiculous. This patch may have helped

Im a Legend 2. Ive seen all the cheeses but atleast some were counterable.

All Im asking is too please decrease the made shot % by a smidge.
Increase the effect of shot contest.

People shouldn't be pulling up midrange jumpshots on a fast break.
People shouldn't be shooting 90% in the corner

And for the people who are gonna post "JRC is full of lil kids, cheesers, blah blah.. Dont play that garbage" I dont wanna hear it, take it to another thread.

Im not expecting or asking for a simulated real life game because at this point of the year its a lost cause and would be asking too much. I know that.

Im asking for a little change to balance the game. A game of Offense/Defense are at equal levels.

Its ok if someone shoots at this % if they are wide open. But contested should be rewarded atleast once in a while.

And don't question me if I dont know how to play. I play with shot contest on always. 40 Defensive assist. Don't hold turbo and press L2 only when a ballhandler comes in contact with my player. I know what animation is contested and whats not. All im asking is for defense to be more effective.

Agree 100%. But it seems like Mike Wang is trying to defend his reasoning from what I've seen on Twitter.

I mean, Leftos globally decreasing players shooting shows they know it was a bad move. I lost a lot of interest in playing MyCareer and 2K in general because of this. People make the silliest stuff now.

I am hoping they just put the shooting percentages back to how they used to be and work on shooting or whatever for 2K16. I doubt they'll fix it, but I am hoping they do.

For me, shot % is always way too high playing offline as well. After consistently shooting 60+ percent every game against the AI, I've shelved the game until 2K16. This game took a big step back for me because of this, it's nearly unplayable.

I'm not convinced the AI knows how to properly defend with the global ratings changes (e.g. a 72 rated 3 pt shooter seemed to be sagged off a bit much), so I wish they would "fix" the shooting so that the global ratings edits aren't needed.

That being said, in the meantime I don't believe the changes with "green releases" affect Real FG%. Apologies if I'm mistaken, but if correct then saying the game is unplayable seems a bit overkill. It certainly must stink to not be able to use preferred settings, but would anyone say the game is unplayable if, say, the "who to guard" arrow could not be toggled?

With regards to the comment about "shooting 90% in the corner," Wang has stated that corner 3s do not go in at a higher rate than other 3s. I actually consider this unfortunate as it is well documented that corner 3s go in at a much higher clip due to being a closer shot.

Shot contest "always" is lazy defense. I pray that option is removed in 2k 16. You aren't contesting anything its all CPU doing the defense for you

Yea I honestly don't understand the reasoning with the patch.

The one they put out before, really cut down on a lot of bs I saw in Park and in Rec.
Zig zags didn't work as much because shots were easier to contest, less posters, better defense overall. There was still problems but for the most part, and a lot of people on here seemed to agree, it made the game play great.

So they put out this new one and turn everyone in the park into prime Reggie Miller. Good job. I have no urge to play online at all anymore.

It's almost impossible to play more than a game or two without encountering a squad of zig zagging, moving screen setting 3 point spammers. It's really becoming a complete joke.
(Again, like OP said, no one expects real basketball at this point but come on we're not playing NBA Jam)

They "remedy" the situation by decreasing everyone's attributes, but news flash, My Players' stats can't be changed.
Taking a guy from a 90 mid to a 75 means nothing when everyone online in Park/Rec still has 90 ratings.

This patch makes bad players look good. That's my main problem. How can a "sim" game reward fake basketball at all?

Guys driving in full speed, stopping on a dime, shooting a (apparently not) contested mid range/3 point shot and hitting it easily. Rinse and repeat all game. Somehow it just keeps working.
And I been playing 2K for well over 10 years, I know how to play defense lol

My favorite's when someone's trying to go baseline and you play them perfectly, yet they pull up for a jumper when they mean to get a layup or dunk and still hit it....like really tho??

Like was the patch because casuals complained about the game being too hard? That's what it feels like.
