How do you stop long inbound passes?

My advice, if you're having that much trouble stealing them, then don't try. Try to get as close to the receiver as possible, as this will sometimes make them go into a bobble animation, but BE SURE you keep yourself between the man and the basket. Don't get yourself out of position and give up an easy shot because you were trying to get the steal.

One thing you'll find is that a lot of people who rely on long inbound passes to get easy scores, if you take those away, you'll frustrate them. If they're risking a turnover by throwing long passes down the court, then they probably aren't going to want to play a halfcourt game. Keep yourself in position, force them into contested shots, and keep doing what you do on the offensive end.

Pokes gave great advice. It's very risky to go for the steal especially if you're one of the last guys to defend. More times that not, they'll catch it and get a easy bucket.

Me being a 6' PG in MC, I personally do exactly what Pokes suggested. Overall, I think the steal animations offball is not as good as it used to be. Sometimes they make my player go for a steal animation when the ball isn't even coming in that direction. I miss the 2K11/2K14 off ball stealing.
