Thanks.
Way back in December I did a series showcasing my playbook at the time, you can check that out here (however, my game has improved since then so consider what you see here a pre-dated version):

*if you don't have time for all 4, just watch this one haha

As of today though this is how i set up my playbook (i will do a video on this soon when i finish some other ones i have on-going):

Part 1:

I have a total of 14 plays ALWAYS. 8 PnR plays, 2 Mid Range, 2 Low Post and 2 High Post.

Players that can handle the ball gets this set:
P&R Handler
Mid Range

Post Players get this set:
Low Post
High Post

Ultra Stars like KD and Lebron gets all 4.

Part 2:

The first page of the 4 PnR plays are "chain plays". These can go into one another flawlessly. Up on D pad Chains with Down, while Left on D pad Chains with Right.

The second page of the 4 PnR Plays has 2 Freelance Starters and 2 Side PnRs. The freelance starters are just one swing motion play and one triangle play; these are designed to get the team set-up correctly so they can run my chosen freelance offense (triangle/swing) with smart play as quickly as possible. The 2 Side PnR plays are needed because majority of the chain stuff ends up attacking from middle. Side PnR's are needed for variety.

Do it like this and you really can't get cold on offense ^_^

How do you manage your offensive POE's?

What do you do there?

Mike Wang said this before if you put your POE to Play Through Player X and then that guy does well, he gets hot faster. But if he does bad he gets cold quicker. So i always set my POE to Play Through "whoever has a mis-match at the moment" when i am running with my plays.

However my POE management changes when i decide to go into freelance mode. In a freelance attack I rely on smart play a lot, so i will change the POE to the type of smart plays i want AI to call. Such as Get Shooter Open for extra passes and shots, or Post Up if i want inside looks.

Complicated at first, but beautiful and crazy fun to execute a 48 minute game this way.

This year no. For the first week I get the game, every year since 2K11, I will play the Chicago Bulls on HOF Sim non stop for like 5-10 games. They are the best AI team to play against every year; their defense is always on point. Best way to start your 2K year if you want to dominate ^_^

That link is a Sam Pham design play set to maximize the skills of Ariza, Josh Smith, and Harden. Hopefully it can make your rockets play even better.*

*I used to be just a guy always looking on the Internet for help on beating HOF CPU, this was pre 2k8. I ended up finding OS and guys like Da_Czar, Sovartus, and Vannwolfhawk offered such great help. Through their advice I was able to beat HOF CPU, but those guys are gone and the culture of OS has changed. I want to bring back the helpful and knowledge building nature of that old OS I fell in love with. So even though you question my honesty and called me lame, I will smile and offer 2k help + knowledge in return ^_^

I'm glad someone has taken on the challenge!, I enjoy the vids and info and follow your YouTube channel, any playbook tips with the Raptors? ...we don't have a strong low post player!

Raptors' Offense live and die off Kyle Lowry and Derozan. So it would only make sense if you run action that makes them play off of each other. This triangle set is perfect since the initial action have the PG and SG playing together to help each other. It also branches out to another few actions where the PG and SG can attack together. Check it out:

I don't have a lot of these PG+SG sets because I love using/having a multi talented big on my teams ^_^ But this is a great PG + SG combo to keep your T Dot Offense flowing all game.

How do you get the right order of plays in the playbook menu for the game?

When I set up my playbooks and select plays, the order I put them in for the playbook doesn't coincide with what turns up in the player menus for their assigned plays.

I'm sure I must be missing something easy.

Thanks.

2.) When playing MyTeam online, the playbook glitches and you don't have yours available when playing on the road. I try to run PnRs in the 4-1 or triangle smart plays when that happens, but sometimes I get lost because what I'm doing is not working. You probably don't get this much if ever anymore, but what do you do when you run out of ideas?

3.) I find myself listening to basketball-related podcasts or music while playing. I do turn it off if the game is close and I feel that I really need to concentrate. But I get too bored just playing and listening to the announcers. What do you do?
Online is unfortunate because we can't have customize playbooks However, i am still able to run an acceptable offense in online games via smart play. You can check out my online smart play attack sets here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao62_fkUNig
*This one is one of my favorites, my online smart play triangle attack

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sW3n0VrKzk8
*This one teaches you the basic of using smart play

Hopefully those can add to your own online offensive sets. They key is to have a lot of weapons in your offensive arsenal. So when one offensive set/strategy doesn't work you can switch to another comfortably ^_^
