Way to easy to build super team on MyGM

Started with the Pelicans. Made a bunch of trades and signed free agents. Here is my starting 5

Wall
Klay Thompson
LeBron...Yes he signed as a FA and left Cleveland burning
The Brow
Noel

I also have 2 1st round draft picks for 2016 that are projected lottery.

Anyone else seeing this kind of ease?

I kinda did. Played as Sixers, traded Noel for 1st round pick and Andrew Wiggins (lol) and first year we stunk it up, but I was able to get the #1 and #2 pick, traded a few people and 2nd year was set.

MCW
Jacob Harris(rookie 2gaurd with 84 ovrl)
Wiggins
Vince Matthews (rookie sf/pf 80 ovrl)
Embiid

Two weeks into it Wiggins and MCW tore acls same game. I haven't even touched it since haha

HA!!!....Yes, injuries in MyGM can have a devestating effect your mental state. I actually started over with the Pelicans because in my first time around with them Anthoney Davis got pissed. Apparently I didn't change the training intensity and he was like I'm out which prompted me to hit reset

You made those moves because you wanted to.

Yea that's why I got rid of Noel. He thought I was training too hard, but then if I changed it Embiid would think it wasn't hard enough haha. So I flipped a coin and traded Noel

If you are dissapointed with the fact that you can cheat on the AI, don´t do it.
The AI will never be on the same level als you, you´ll always find a way to cheat on them.

But with a few simple rules you can have a great experience and a lot of fun while building a team.

Re: Way to easy to build super team on MyGM

I really enjoy building Super teams in MyGM/MyLeague. in NBA 2K14 I started a MyGM career with the Rockets and 3 years later I had Michael Kidd Gilchrist, Dwight Howard James Harden, 2 other 90+ OVR rated players, and a bench with ratings no less than 80, and Greg Popavich as Head Coach. Those were really good times. I won 4 straight Championships with them.

This year, I started a new career in MyLeague(Sorry, not MyGM) with the Kings. Front-load all contracts and sign players to 2 year contracts with a team option. I got Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Gordon Wallace, Kevin Durant, a 90+ OVR rated player, 3 80+ OVR rated players and a bench with ratings no less than 76. I hired the best FA Coach available, A in Offense, A- in Defense and the best Assistant Coach too, B in Offense, A in Defense. It just takes patience to develop. We went to the playoffs my 3rd year, but lost in the 2nd Round. After that we won the next 3 Championships, lost to the Bulls in the Finals after that, lost in the 3rd Round year after that, and the next year won the Championship Again.

We won championships in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022.

Oh by the way in all 3 years we won the Championships, we Lost 22, 20, and 16 games. We beat our best record each time. Last two rings we were #4 and #3 in the playoffs, but we're still a very good team. Our players are aging though, so I need to re-stock through the draft.

Pretty good teams I'd say.

The key to developing good teams?

Re: Way to easy to build super team on MyGM

Every year with me it's the same thing, I take on my beloved Knicks and try to turn it around. This year is no different and I've gone in guns blazing in a quest to get younger and better. I have no issues initially fleecing the CPU, especially since people (both internally and externally) have been fleecing my Knicks for years.

So far this is what I achieved:

Traded:
JR Smith
Bargnani
Calderon
Jason Smith
Cole Aldrich
Pablo Prigioni

Received (via different methods):
John Henson PF
Terrence Jones PF
Steve Nash PG
Tristan Thompson PF
Brendan Hayward C
Ish Smith PG

So basically I basically made the Knicks tough, big and young in one fell swoop (apart from Nash).

I'm relying on Nash to produce a semblance of a decent season at point, and will take a big hit he goes down, but now I'm poised to make a run at a free agent PG in 2015.

Terrence Jones is a beast and along with Henson and Thompson form a trio of under 25 big men with attitude, hustle and DEFENSE!!!!

Amare will reprise a role as the 6th man to start the season, but honestly he'll be on the block the whole year, and essentially an expiring contract. In his place will fill our young tandem off the bench in Hardaway and Thompson. Instant energy.

Dalembert will hold down the fort at center, but Henson is breathing down his neck with a view of moving into the starting lineup at some point in the season.

All in all, this is how I rebuilt my Knicks and have them poised to go into the remainder of Melo's prime giving him a solid playoff team and a potential contender with just 1-2 pieces left.
