Also every 85 rated person is not better than a 84 rated at everything. LeBron is probably getting "bonus" points for versatility.
  • Strong like a PF, quick like a SF-SG, passes like a PG
  • Shoots threes like a shooter

This thread (and this post specifically) completely validates my idea that overall ratings should be done away with.

It's only because LeBron's is from in game. In game there are plenty of people that turn into 100

Lol and what's everyone talking about? I don't see one single freak out in this thread.

And no simply pointing out the ratings doesn't count as a freak out.

Re: Ratings : LeBron better than Jordan ...

2k's rating system has always been pretty messed up. Its all over the place and some of them are irrelevant *cough* speed *cough* passing. I hope 2k has a new system next year plus lower ratings. Melo, Cp3, Kobe, and D Rose should be like a 88-89. Cp3 and kd should be 90-92. Lebron should be a 95 at most (before you say I'm under rating him, he deserved a 96 back in his PRIME in CLEVELAND) and MJ should be like a 97-98. 2k should add a toughness and physicality attribute that should be a lot higher on legends compared to most players today because of how much more stat friendly the game and flop consistant players are today.

Just my opinion but I'm not even a big LeBron fan and I still tend to think his prime is right now, not when he was in Cleveland
