Triangle offense experts.. I'm looking for a high assist triangle playbook

I'm looking for a triangle playbook that could compliment a pass 1st point guard (Think Steve Nash/Chris Paul) A lot of triangle plays produce a lot of scoring opportunities, but I'm looking for one that generates a lot of assist.

The triangle offense doesn't actually use high assist point guards. It actually plays through good passing bigs in the post. Any of the 90s bulls and early 2000s lakers use the triangle playbook. Running the triangle ideally you would want a point guard that is quite big and strong as he will be in post situations quite often and can bully smaller guards.

I definitely know that traditionally it doesn't. However, I'm absolutely trying to make a playbook with pieces from all the different implementations, that allows for a high assist point guard to thrive in it. Which will also include Great passing bigs


My vision is kind of like that 2013' lakers team, if they had successfully got Phil Jackson to decide to coach them with Steve Nash running the point.

That's not how the Triangle works though. Like sure you could turn Steve Nash into Steve Kerr but thats only utilizing half of his game (at which point his warts become more meaningful).

The whole point of the Triangle is you don't need a dynamic passer / ball handler to make it work. That's WHY those guards have always been 3 & D types.

If you had an All-Time Playmaker, you would want to run things where that is generating an advantage, not where the player is "fitting in".

An unorthodox solution would be to play your point guard at Center so that he can get all the low post passing options. You get the corner cutter, the wing cutter screening for the pinch post player, etc.

Problem is if you do that, then you may end up having to go small ball so your other 4 players can actually execute on cuts & shots, since the post is typically reserved for the Center anyway.
