Meaning of |Lineup Impact vs Net Value| & |Age Discount| ?

Hi fellow sim players !


I have been using sliders for a coupe of years now, but it's time for me to make my own !

I almost finish my work but I'm stumbling on 2 slider, I just cannot get the point... 2K does not do a good job of explaining what they're putting into the game.

- Lineup Impact vs Net Value ??
and
- Age Discount ??

Would you be nice enough to explain me what they're representing even a vague idea would help me
