hi, I worked on the slides and on the roster to have fouls on the 3pt. shot...

Same problem as 2K18. There's zero penalty to contesting shots aggressively on the perimeter unless it is after a pump fake animation.

It's one of the main reasons for the free throws always being low unless you change sliders to force fouls on every other layup/dunk attempt.

Yeah, it was basically broken in NBA2k18 as well. Its ridiculous this wasnt fixed in 19. To make matters worse they have broke charging fouls, in 18 you could draw charges with some consistency, in 19 its extremely rare to see a charge.


I have had a defender be knocked down trying to draw a charge several times, and only 1 time was a charge called. You wont even see blocking fouls.


Seems the only consistent fouls that are called, are reach ins, and shooting fouls on drives to the basket, or shooting fouls inside the paint.



I have now seen a total of 4 charges since buying the game, and 1 shooting foul on a 3pt attempt. 3 of the charges were me drawing it on the CPU, and 1 times they drawed a charge against me.

The only shooting foul on a 3 pt attempt, happen the other night and it ended up being a 4 pt play for me. And I only play on 12 minute qtrs as well.



I would have thought this last patch they would have fixed the lack of fouls, considering its a widely known problem, as basically anyone who plays offline consistently has complained about it.
Hopefully the next patch fixes the lack of fouls. Going to be extremely upset if they dont fix this. Outside of this issue, the gameplay is amazing, but the lack fouls basically ruins it.

Pretty much agree. Most of the overpowered offensive/defensive strategy right now is based on fouls not being called.

I also witnessed the first 3PT shooting foul today in CPU/CPU with Klay fouling Harden. It wasn't the dramatic foul animation either, just a ticky tack foul on the wrist.

One thing I'm noticing as well is that all fouls other than Reaching seem to be tied closer to the Driving/Inside Contact sliders than the Foul sliders. Lower Driving/Inside Contact to 1 and you'll see maybe 5 foul calls per game regardless of the Foul sliders.

- Reduced the effectiveness of on-ball steals, especially for low rated defenders by implementing the following: increased foul chances for body-to-body contact, increased ball security after rebounds when both hands are on the ball, introduced a cooldown when attempting too many steal attempts in a short amount of time, more mistargeted steal attempts for poorly rated players.

In what little time I have played since this last patch, I was definitely seeing more fouls, and this was on default pro settings, as after a gameplay patch, I usually revert back to default settings, just to see if they did fix anything, before I start adjusting sliders again.

So I was seeing more shooting fouls, but none on 3pt shot attempts, and really non from the perimeter at all, but definitely alot more inside the paint.



Also still didnt see any charges, or even any blocking fouls for that matter. Nor did I even see any reach ins by the CPU, and before this patch, atleast you could draw some non shooting fouls on the CPU by reach ins being called. While not really realistic, it did help get more non shooting fouls since the game doesnt seem to call charging fouls, or even blocking fouls.


Definitely disappointed in the little I have played since this last patch was released. I hope its just a matter of me needing to play more, and adjusting some sliders, that fixes this stuff, and changes my feelings of disappointment with the devs for this lack of effort put forth to fix these gameplay issues.


If it wasnt for these issues, NBA2k19, would be amazing. Unfortunately it seems once the game comes out, the devs no longer give a crap about us offline players, and their sole focus is with online play, and even then, they tend to cater to those onliners who whine the most, and are casual fans of basketball at best. So I feel bad also for those true basketball fans, who do play online, because they tend to get ignored as well.



I dont know what more we can do, because there was many of us offline players, who complained constantly about the lack of fouls, being a major issue. Every yr, it always something that hinders the game for us offline MyLeague and/or MyGm players. I wish NBA Live was better and had a deep Association mode, because I would actually give it a try, but it just to bare bones for me.

Played one 'test' all star franchise game and had one 3pt attempt foul. Default sliders. I remember i missed one of those free throws.
