Are jump hooks too effective?

Has anyone found that jump hooks are too effective in this game? I went 8/8 with Valancunis on HOF and it feels like whenever i can get it off it will go in no matter what as long as my big man is in the paint and there's no double team. Feels like I am cheesing the CPU.

I even set the Close and Inside shot sliders down to 10 and still it goes in 99-100% of the time. Also I am using the shot button and not the shot stick.

Any solutions/suggestions? If not I may have to edit Valancunis's inside scoring rating since I exclusively use the Raptors and don't want to feel I am cheating the CPU.

Re: Are jump hooks too effective?

Found a solution: Turn up the Contest Shot Tendency to 90 in the gameplay sliders for the CPU and you'll find the post defender jumping/contesting the jump hook which results in more realistic and balanced results.

I initially raised it to 75 but did not see any difference so I decided to go up to 90 and now it made a difference.

Re: Are jump hooks too effective?

After hours of testing and having contest shots to 90 for the CPU, it seems that my previous solution is not affecting the rate of jump hooks are going in when the User is implementing it in their offense.

Is this a bug? Even with the inside and close shot sliders down to 0 for the user the hook shots are going in a rate of 100% when I am using it against the CPU in the paint.

Anyone else experiencing this? It is ruining the game for me knowing I can cheese the CPU using the hook shot since I know it will go in almost every time I use it.
