why raise defensive rebounding slider

why raise the defense rebounding sliders.
reason why I ask is because the sim stats seem to indicate the the defensive rebounding is actually higher than that of real life averages. the difference is running about 6 rebounds higher, that's based from the top rated teams to the lowest rated teams. all the teams skew high, and all the other stats fall within league averages.

I agree.

In fact, I've lowered defensive rebounding to 5 this year since 2k created an offensive rebounding attribute.

what are your offensive and defensive rebound settings. Id like to plug those into my sliders to see how they work out

Offensive Rebounding 20
Defensive Rebounding 5

I also have vertical at 5, which you may also want to try.

Speaking of rebounding do those settings help smaller players get more rebounds? Seems like I can never get the better rebounding guards their numbers, which also inflates bigs who shouldn't always be getting 10+ a game.

Absolutely.

That's one of the main reasons why I lowered these sliders; I noticed the exact same thing.

Re: why raise defensive rebounding slider

so when you lower def reb to 5, can anyone actually catch a rebound? or is it all hot potato?

Also, if you lower the Vert to 5, how do you compensate for blocks without putting the blocking slider so high that Blake Griffin can't posterize Nick Young?
