Since this haven't been mentioned anywhere, I want to post some interesting tidbits I found while messing around with sliders.
Defense sliders indicate how effective the defense is for that side. So if you have 0 for both jump shots for User defense sliders, it means the CPU contesting will not affect you at all. It does not mean your contest will not affect the CPU shot.
Same with Fouls, I think, but I'm not 100% sure here since it's difficult to test properly. Fouls affect how often you commit the particular foul, not how often you receive those fouls.
I hope you found these useful. If you have time, please also help verify my claims.
I tested defense sliders by custom player quick game, 99 OVR. Set 3pt success to 60. Walk up to top of the key, 3pt. With 0 user defense for jump shots, defense had nearly no effect and shot success was mostly up to shot timing. With 100, defense means D- and F shots.
As for foul frequency, I haven't tested it thoroughly yet, but I do see a higher number of fouls committed on the side with higher slider values. Not conclusive, though.
