NBA 2k18 Ultimate Draft Classes (PS4)

NBA 2K18 Ultimate Draft Classes (PS4)
2018-2021

Hey everyone,

For those of you who do not know me, I am NationalBballa. Last year, in NBA 2K17, I create one of the most in-depth training camp rosters out on the game. Additionally, I helped EmbraceThePace with his offseason roster by adding many two way and training camp players. This summer, I was pondering the idea of creating a community draft class. Many draft classes are posted on 2K Share. Many of them have the exact same players. EmbraceThePace, SkillzFromThe6, DaInfamousNY, SportsGamingRosters, and I came together to make one of the best draft classes ever. Many community members contacted me through twitter to help on the roster.

I’d like to give a huge shoutout to the following people (Twitter handles are in parenthases): EZ Madden (@EZMADDEN25), Hunter Jace (@HunterJace1), Darris (@BhadDarris), JJ Ruelz (@AS1_YT), Shane Artest (@SHANEwsNBA), Colin (@_schroedergoat), Ricardo (@RicardoPlug), Thomas (@Hey_Im_Thomas) for helping on the draft classes. Without your guys help these draft classes wouldn’t be as good as they are.

Last, but not least, I would like to shoutout EmbraceThePace (@EmbracePace), DaInfamousNY (@DaInfamousNY), SkillzFromThe6 (@SkillzFromthe6), SportsGamingRosters (@SprtsGmngRstrs) for all of the countless hours you guys have put in to help me administrate this project. Once Embrace announced his retirement I knew we needed another good draft class out. Making a draft class takes countless hours and this project saved us all a ton of times.

Additionally, I would advise everyone to check out SportsGamingRosters website: https://sportsgamingrosters.com/. Anyone that is a draft guru for not only the NBA but the NFL and MLB should check out his stuff.

Now to the draft class details!

Before I dive into the features, I want to quickly address a few questions/concerns that I am frequently asked.

1) If you get an error message that says the file is corrupted or it is unable to retrieve content info, IT IS NOT. That’s just a glitch with all rosters and draft classes. The only solution is to keep trying. It’ll eventually work. I promise.

2) All of my projects are exclusively on PS4. Not Xbox One. Not PC. Not Old Gen. Just PS4. I don’t have 2K18 on any other platforms, so you won’t find any of my work anywhere other than PS4.

Now lets move on to the draft class features!

Fully Created Draft Class: The 2018 and 2019 draft classes will feature 150 real draft prospects. Many draft classes in the past had around 60-80 players. These draft classes will give you a variety of players to choose from. The 2020 and 2021 classes will each have at least 100 real players as it is harder to predict prospects in the future. Due to the integration of the G-League and Draft and Stash, having 150 players to choose from is very helpful

Accurate Ratings, Tendencies, Signatures: Ratings, Tendencies and Signatures will be accurate to reflect the player during that current season. Throughout the season players ratings will change. Ratings are based on rookies in the game as well as the G-League Prospects.

Badges: We have assigned players badges based on the rookies in the game.

Faces: Due to 2K Create-A-Player (CAP) limitations, player models have taken a huge hit. Creators have tried their best to make player models similar to their counterpart. Player models will be updated throughout the season.

Player Movement: Players will be moved between classes throughout the season. Players that rise up draft boards that are not in the draft classes will be added.

The draft classes will be released on the following dates:
2018 Class: OUT NOW

2019 Class: OUT NOW

2020 Class: OUT NOW

2021 Class: TBA

Platform: PS4
Gamertag: NationalBballa
File Name: (Year) Draft 150 Prospects

Draft Class Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing
Once you download the draft classes, I would like to ask you to fill out the Google form linked below so that we can receive feedback on these classes.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions on these classes. I hope each and everyone of you enjoys these classes and make your 2K experience a lot better.

If anyone would like to help on other projects, please contact me.

Looking forward to this. I used your classes last year and they played really well for me in 2K17.

Re: NBA 2k18 Ultimate Draft Classes (PS4)

Hi nationalbballa, I'm a huge fan of draft classes, one of my favorite experiences was playing myLeague in 2025-2030 with 4-5 realistic draft classes to the save and it was an amazing experience.

Therefore, I have few questions about the draft classes, but first, I must thank you for your effort, what you're doing is not obvious and me and several 2K players are appreciative to what your community has done. Without further ado, my questions are:

1. Players faces- I've checked the 2018 draft class and IMO some of the players look alike their real life apperance and some of them are not. Now I know that if I put it mildly, the new CAP system is really bad. Your leeway on creating ressembling appearances is limited to almost unexisted. But still, maybe some of the players can have some tweeks to their apperances:
Michael Porter Jr- Looks too pretty, yes yes he should be more uglier, the eyes needs to be more deep in the sockets(if you know what I mean?). Haircut looks alike.
Trae Young- Looks like a mexican with mustache and blue eyes. His haircut is not way is like receding afro, yep that dude is 18 and has receding hair. **** happens.
Marvin Bagley III, DeAndre Ayton for example look to the point! Excellent job!
My question is if you'll iterate the draft class before the final version and that includes chaning facial features?

2. Players potenial- now that is ONLY my opinion, I know I wayyyy too optimistic, but nonetheless I'll say it. IMO, the potentials of the players are a little bit low. For example, the NBA comparison of DeAndre Ayton in NBADraft(an excellent website for learning about prospects) is David Robinson! In your draft class, his potenital is only 87. IMO, players like Michael Porter Jr and Marvin Bagley III should get a potenital of 93-94 at least.
Now, the simulation of NBA 2K is smart. Potenial doesn't mean the players will reach that overall. It means that ultimately, if the players is drafted, traded or signed by the ideal team for him(with the ideal system) the ideal teamates(ideal team chemistry), the ideal conract and the ideal minute playing, the player probably will reach his maximum potenital. It is not guaranteed. Meaning if I create a rookie with 99 potenital, he can only reach ovreall of 90-91 and maybe even less if he's injured and doesn't and playing time!
For example, here is my given potenital for some NBA prospects in NBA 2K17(and again, I exggerated because I had meant to be way too optimisic but still):
Zion Williamson- 97-98.
Scottie Lewis- 99(yep I wanted him to be the GOAT).
Marvin Bagley III- 97.
RJ Barrett- 96-97.
DeAndre Ayton- 97-98.
For players currently in the NBA:
Joel Embiid- 99(IMO in ideal career where everything goes ultimatly good for him, the sky is the limit for him!).
Kristaps Porzingis- 99(like Embiid).
Andrew Wiggins- 98-99(He reminds me of T-MAC, and again if everthing ultimatley everthing goes ideal for him the sky is the limit for him).
Anthoy Davis- 99(Has the tools IMO again in ultimately good career to become the best PF E-V-E-R).
Karl Anthony Towns- 98(Has the tools to become one of the greatest centers of our generation).

Of course I gave the best examples, not everyone deserve that potenital. For example my feeling is Zion Williamson is an athelthic Julius Randle, but because of the hype I gave that huge potenial :P . Seriously it was so fun to play with him with dunking on people and reach easily with vertical lips to the rim.
But you get my point. Of course even in my myLeage simulation none of them reached that potenital, because potenital is just potenital and it doesn't mean the real overall of the prospect in the climate of his career.
And just for mentioning, did anybody has expected that Kawhi Leonard will be a 95 overall and James Harden will be a 96 overall?! That is why I letting myself to go a little bit crazy with potenital.
TL;DR you should raise a little bit some of prospects potenial.

3. Some of european players going to still play overseas after being drafted. Are you going to apply this clause on some of the players in the draft classes? Because I didn't notice that.

4. Why not create the 2022 draft classes? It's wayyyy too early but it would be awesome to play with Emoni Bates. Even with kids of LeBron and D-Wade(Bronnie James and Zaire Wade).

Thanks for your effort nonetheless,
Lio

Hi Lio,

Thank you for your feedback

First off, I would like to mention that the draft class is not close to being done.

The player models have been made from the creators helping on these draft classes. Since the new CAP system is not good, it is very hard to get players like their counterpart.

The potentials and ratings are made from an outsider NBA Draft Expert, who has over 20 years of draft experience. The ratings and potentials will be updated throughout the season.

The European guys' contracts will be updated once I recieve all of the players from the other creators.

Four classes is very time consuming as it is. Adding another one would be a drag for all of us. We only put out the best content out there.

Okay, thanks for the reply!

Waiting for the September 30th to see the NBA 2018 draft class final result!

Again, thanks for the effort!

P.S the NBA draft expert has a website or something? Just for my personal interest, love following after NBA prospects websites since 2010...
