2K18 All-Time Fantasy Draft Roster Tool

I 'm hoping to do an all-time fantasy draft MyLeague this year but I have a couple problems. I'm not a great roster maker and (at least in years past, not sure with new CAP system) can't really create good caps, but what I can do is compile lists lol. I wanted to help out the community's roster makers for anyone wanting to do an all-time no duplicates/fantasy draft roster. To do that we need to remove the duplicate legends and fill in their spots on the teams with the dupes. So, to help facilitate that process, I've created a spreadsheet that has several tabs. If any roster editors/CAP creators out there want to use it feel free to and let me know what else I can do to help us to great a great legends fantasy draft roster in 2K18.

Spreadsheet Tabs:

1.) All Players - All of the players on the default all-time roster
2.) No Duplicates - All of the unique players on the all-time roster (keeping the highest overall version of each duplicate player)
3.) Players to Remove - All of the duplicate players in the default roster that need to be removed for a fantasy draft/no dupes roster (the lower overall versions)
4.) Players to Add - A list of missing legends/players to fill out unique rosters for each team. Some of these guys are glaring omissions like Barkley, Miller, Sheed, etc. while others are fringe at best. I just wanted to make sure we could get enough players to fill out 15 unique for each team. Not all of these guys need to be included, it's more for reference of who you might include.
5.) Team Totals Before - How many unique players each team has after removing the dupes.
6.) Team Totals After - How many "Players to Add" are on the list for each team, how many they need added, and the difference between the two.

Thanks for making this spreadsheet! Lots of great names on here that are not in the game. Gonna be tough to get that many CAPS. Hopefully the top 15 or 20 guys that we all probably agree on get made early. I am horrible at CAPS so I really appreciate the work gets done by the guys on this forum.

It looks like some of the better known creators have left the community this year, so I am thankful to see that MJWizards is still around!

Here's another link that might lead to more suggestions.

Yeah I'm beyond bad at CAPs too, honestly last gen I was okay at it but the current gen has been so much harder to me. I really appreciate all the work these guys do too. I'll probably end up making a Base and removing the duplicates and then put that out there for CAP creators to add their players to. I don't expect anywhere near all of these guys to get added but the glaring omissions and hopefully one or two per franchise would be great.

Re: 2K18 All-Time Fantasy Draft Roster Tool

hey there, great idea and thanks for sharing the spreadsheet.! I could help, but I'm on Xbox, I don't know which console you use. If you're on Xbox let me know and I'll be glad to help.

One suggestion for the spreadsheet: add a column with the player position, so It's easiest to know which player replace who. For example in Atlanta you're removing Pete Maravich, who was a SG, so the correct player to replace him is another SG, and that would be John Drew according to your "Players to Add" list.

Cheers.!

Re: 2K18 All-Time Fantasy Draft Roster Tool

hey there, here I made an example of how could be the rosters with 15 players in each team... I've just taken players from your "Players to Add" tab and added them to the main roster. In the left column of my spreadsheet you have the "Final" rosters. In GREEN are the players I added and in ORANGE are the players that need to be removed. There's also another column in the right side of the spreadsheet. In that column you have in GREEN the players I took from your "Players to Add" tab, in RED some players I took from the link provided by dgordoncpa (https://hoopshabit.com/25-best-playe...nba-franchise/), and in PURPLE some players that you put in a Team but I think that should be in another Team (those players also are in the hoopshabit link). For example Rasheed Wallace you put to be added in Portland, but I put him in Detroit, or Carlos Boozer you put to be added in Utah but I added him in Chicago... So, in your "Players to Add" tab you have 136 players, and I filter that list to have the 93 needed to complete all the teams, according with your column "Need to Add" in your "Team Totals Before" tab...

Here my spreadsheet:

Tell me what you think about it...

Cheers.!

This is awesome, exactly the next step we needed to take to get this thing going. I think I'd probably have a few different guys in a few different places, and place priority on some guys over others, but man this is great.

I love this, but you're missing a lot of must have guys. Check this link & click each team under team profiles. This uses 12 man rosters, & allows duplicates, so really all these guys should be in with 15 man rosters & no duplicates. http://www.bballhistory.com/all-time...se-tournament/
