Retired Numbers

Is there a workaround to enabling retired numbers? I'm not trying to do anything nefarious here. I'm simply building a mid-90's Sacramento Kings roster within my "current era" roster file so I can use them to play other classic teams across all eras.

I am simply trying to put Mitch Richmond in his actual #2 instead I'm having to use the next closest thing visually, #5 ...

Re: Retired Numbers

I've had some success with the "retired player name" trick, where you give players the name of the guy whose jersey was retired (i.e. name someone Michael Jordan in order to give them jersey No. 23 then change the name back).

However, if that worked, you wouldn't have to worry about Mitch Richmond's No. 2. I ran into the same issue with Terry Porter, as I can't give him No. 30 in Portland.

That worked bro, thank you.

If you're still having issues with Terry Porter...here is what I did:

- edited my targeted player (Mitch Richmond) and imported the DNA of any other player (like, Bobby Hansen)
- edited another player on the roster -- might be best to choose one of those garbage create-a-players. ***Change their name to the retired player's name*** (for ex., to Mitch Richmond). And then, import the DNA (appearance & attributes) of your player
- done

I would support this endeavor. I'm still having no luck with Terry Porter in particular.

Re: Retired Numbers

Lets say you want Vucevic with n.23 on the current Bulls. 1- trade Vucevic to another team where 23 is available. I used the Cavs. 2- change his name and number to Michael Jordan and 23. 3- export him on 2kshare. 4- trade the real MJ on the Bulls. 5- overwrite the real MJ with the saved Vucevic (named MJ) from 2k share.
