Question about online league with a friend

Can we setup a league where we are both drafted to different teams and just control that player? Kinda like myplayer but in a online league so we can be in the same league together. Is this possible?

I believe you could, just have player lock on and play. Have everything else simulated. I like the idea. I think it would be awesome to have multiple players in a league or join buddies on same team and play a season. I don't know but there is a lot of ideas behind that. 2k though doesn't make this process intuitive because they want you to spend money on my career and park etc.
