Which starter pack are you going to take?

I´m not very interested in the free agent cards.

So I´m looking at perimeter centric or pace & space - can´t see a big difference there.

Which pack are you going to go for and why?

Don't care about FA cards either. I pre ordered gold edition so was looking for players to fill the SF and PF spot. Jae and Serge do that in the Defense pack but theyre pretty weak cards. I think I'll choose Perimeter Centric which comes with Melo, Thon, and Schroder but the Post pack isn't far behind with Melo, 78 Pau and an Emerald Coach.

It's between Defense, Grit n Grind or Post for me.

For post its looks like you start with better players, but ultimately i want to play a grit n grind style game.

To me, Starter Pack is probably mostly about the start one gets for Domination, which is definitely more about Offense than Defense, to me. And the Perimeter looks most useful for scoring points. By the time one is through the first Domination, pretty much nobody from the Starter Pack should remain.

I would go with Perimeter to beat Domination. I'll have to test some games to see if 2K really made the post-game not reliant on height and speed.

With 2K17 I was destroying the cpu in domination with bronze Thon Maker. So unless the post is tougher to score now where strength and defensive ratings matter.

I'll probally still go with the Perimeter pack for Melo (post-points) and a fast PG like Dennis (fast breaks), I think Perimeter has too many advantages if you want to win in domination.

I love that porzingis gets so much love with that 90 overall trial card. I really hope he achieves his potential

Not sure yet how important the coach is going to be. But in case Domination stays the way we know it from past years, then post game is the most important factor (assist/postmove/score).

A better coach for boosting inside scoring along with Gasol could definitely help (even if you preordered shaq).

If it's not too pricey to get hands on a coach per AH it's legit going with Perimetric or Grit aswell.

Im going with Post. It has an emerald coach and Melo and Pau. Kyrie Melo Pau and Shaq with whoever else isnt a bad starting 5. I know that silver thon is gonna be expensive tho so the perimeter pack is tempting.
