Gauntlet has me intrigued as well. May cause me to spend more time in this mode, along with the customization, autofill, etc.

It holds the mode back imo. The point guard position becomes obsolete bc u can't guard a guy like Lebron with any traditional pg other than Magic. Does anyone genuinely think those player cards look good? If 2K were as keen on listening to fans as they claim to be, this is exactly the sort of thing they could create a poll vote for. Post various possible designs and let fans vote so we aren't left with abominations like those Harden/Steph cards.

Gauntlet and historic domination should be fun, but I'm not a fan of the attribute boosts becoming an even bigger part of this mode via custom shoes. The player ratings in MyTeam are already juiced up enough as is. Now with these shoes, you'll presumably be able to have 99 ratings for your players' key categories, like in those Stephen Curry and Anthony Davis screenshots.

I wish they'd follow Diamond Dynasty's lead and just leave all the ratings the same as the default online 2K16 roster.

There was also no mention of whether or not customizable player badges are back; I hope those are at least gone. Like attribute boosts, all custom badges do is significantly up the cheese factor in this mode. You shouldn't be able to make Stephen Curry a gold tier "Bruiser" and "Lockdown Defender," for example, but you could in 2K15 and 2K14 just by throwing on a couple of badges from the marketplace or card packs.

After all the goodness on other modes, MT seems a bit lacklustre. I like the concept of the mode and play it quite a bit, but am unsure about it at the moment. Hopefully all the changes to the engine make the mode fun again an playable for the simheads there.
