The Ultimate Fighter Live: Team Cruz vs. Team Faber

The new season begins Friday, March 9 on FX. The premiere episode will feature 16 live fights. I'm interested to see how this live format is going to work. I'm not sure how well the fighters are going to hold up with this one running for 13 weeks. They might start going more nuts in the house than usual.

I don't get the format,... are they going live for the fights, but afterwards going on a week delay or something? How will they edit the shows?? or would it just be 90% fights and 10% crap from the house that week? If that's the case, I'd be down because I stop watching because I don't care.

Should be interesting.
I think it would be better to have 6 weeks of pretaped fights for obvious issues, but it could turn out to be great.

I've met one of the fighters that will be on the show, Jordan Rinaldi. Hopefully he makes it.

After the fights to get into the house, it is going to be interesting. They will have to have filler until about 40 mins in and then start the fight. 2 rounds takes up 11 minutes, plus 2-3 mins for the decision. If they have a 3rd round, then they would be right up to 10PM. There really wouldn't be anyway to fill the rest of the time though if the fight ends early. They aren't going to get reactions right after the fight.

You arent factoring in commercials. An hour program is actually only 45-48 minutes. It will be more like 25-30 minutes of what happened in the house during the week and in training. 10 minutes for the fight (15 if it goes to sudden victory) and 2-3 for a decision.

Surprise no one is watching this?

I think it's odd how they lowered the volume on Faber, Cruz, and White's mic.

Why? It's so dead without commentary.
