game companies can also make money from used sales. Every copy that gets passed along used expands the market for DLC. Many people actually buy new games by trading or selling their old games. Picking up a game used for cheap can also lead to interest in a future sequel purchase.

I have no problem in supporting the company that makes the game than gamestop and user games dealers. When you buy a game from Used dealers you are not supporting the game company. That is reality ,this small incentive to buy game new to avoid this stuff.

With that said Game industry is opening a can of worms it does not want to open.If i am going to pay for Online access that said Online access better be working near perfection.Disconnecting,Lags and cheap tactics better be eliminated quickly.

No it doesn't. The first owner no longer has it, so there's still the same number of possible DLC customers. One copy = one DLC buyer.

As for the "they should make better products", it's your logic that's flawed. If the game isn't up to the standard that customers desire, why are they buying the game used? Why are they spending any money on it at all? "They should make better products" has nothing to do with whether or not publishers should encourage customers to buy new copies instead of used.

If a game isn't worth my money, I don't buy it. It's pretty simple. If the game is worth my money, I'd rather that at least part of the money I spend goes to the people who made the game worth buying, rather than buying a used copy where all of the money goes to Gamestop.
You sound like a sucker who shops at Gamestop quite often. There's ebay, Amazon and other outlets buddy. It really shows poor logic of people when they say oh well Gamestop isn't getting the money so now people can be forced to buy it new; yipeeee!!! What???

What about people who don't deal with the middle man aka Gamestop. Buy a game for $60 sell it for 30 when they are done. Why should I not do it? Why should the person buying it second hand not get the full game? Clearly you suffer from ED I mean erroneous decisions.

So people should buy games and never resell it?
"Oh I'm done let me throw it in the garbage."
It really sounds that is what you are saying/. I buy the game I should trade with my friend or sell it to him. Why should he have to pay 60 for a game I can give him for $20. It's price competition. Maybe new games should lower there prices to compete with used games.

FAIL!!!

Are you insane? One copy multiple DLC buyers. Example: I own LEFT4Dead I buy the DLC, I sell L4D to my friend he also buys the DLC....one game two DLC's purchases.

OMG Mark, this logic is soooooooooooo flawed! Why in gods name would someone that is really looking out for the money with a certain game, buying DLC for that game...? are you serious? If I am going to pick up a used game I mostly do not buy DLC.
You need to incentivize me for buying DLC. If I buy a game new and always are the first to get new stuff, thats the people buying DLC, not the people buying the game 3-6 month after release after a huge price drop in the used game.

I bought fallout 3 and all the dlc, when I was done, I sold it. Entirely possible the next owner may want to do the same, especially since he got it for so cheap.
