Its crazy how a 90 second cinematic trailer can cause so many people to rush to negative conclusions. Seems like confirmation bias to me.

Trailer looks fine. Not a whole lot different than 21, but 21 was a good looking game so I don't mind.

I was trying to look out for new equipment but didn't notice any. Shohei still had generic brands, but still hoping they add Asics since he is the cover-athlete. I also noticed Vladdy was still using UA batting gloves so they probably didn't really focus on that for this trailer. Hopefully there were some other easter eggs that I missed.

Positives:
Animations and crowd look more fluid and immersive.
Assuming gameplay (we we always preach is the most important) continues to improve, looking forward to franchise.

Negative:
Player models haven’t changed in years

Personally, although not next Gen, I can live with the player models as long as the gameplay is solid.

NBA2K is the only sports game left that tries to improve gameplay, graphics and options year to year.

The Show focuses on gameplay, which isn’t a bad thing.

Madden focuses on graphics and nothing else.

At the end of the day, all will focus on DD, my player, etc. because at the end of the day, the ultimate goal for any company is finding new revenue streams.

Game ALWAYS looks better than the trailers. Liked Stroman’s strut, even though I don’t like it in real life. Game is going to be fine. We will never know what has been going on inside SDS with this virus, but I’m sure there will be a ton of new animations, etc. Looking forward to the release.

I’m going to be cautious. All sports games on this gen(PS5/X) have been letdowns so far. They keep touting how smart they can make AI on each new gen but they are getting dumber in all sports games. Also franchise modes are mostly ignored these days.
