Who should be the cover athlete for Show 22

the last few years I haven't been terribly crazy about the choice. Bryce Harper, a solid F in that choice, a total polarizing player if ever there was one. Javier Baez was a significant upgrade but he definitely didn't have the electrifying sizzle that Tatis showed, & was sorely needed. and he brought it, big time.

I liked the Junior 17 pick, however I would like to have seen the focus on a current player in 17, leaving Aaron Judge as probably the best pick from 17 to 20, until Tatis came along, though in reality he IMO wound up only a slightly better choice than Baez. though at the time Baez and Judge did seem like solid picks. but again, Tatis really raised the bar and showed what a cover athlete should be. though to be fair, it was easier for the Studio to work with someone from the Padre organisation

the obvious pick would be Shohei, but after years of not being able to land the biggest fish out there in Trout, I really don't see Shohei buying in either. maybe SDS would be better off doing like they did with Show 11 when they repeated with Mauer, and reup with Tatis

or maybe this could finally be the year of the pitcher? nah, probably not. after all, gamer nerds, like chicks, do dig the long ball lol

recognisable can't be the litmus. not denying he isn't a solid player, just that he's as polarizing player out there possible that they could have chosen. I'd equate it to, if in 17, SDS would have picked A-Rod as the cover choice instead of Junior

also, if they wanted to finally pick a pitcher, Walker Buehler, being in LA and closeish to SD, might be the way to go
