MLB Show 21' PS5 - The MLB Draft? / Why so barebones?

Coming back to the Show after a 3 year hiatus. Really disappointed in the draft and prospects.

Zero immersion.

Can anyone share their strategy on how they scout the draft?

I see every player with 80 potential fully scouted.

Also an overhaul on the draft in general would be nice. Like fully scouted prospects with notes on strengths/weaknesses/player comparisons.

After this first draft I feel like I was just picking players, with no connection or expectation on when they should be drafted, no pick signing bonus negotiation. Feels pretty bare bones.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Not much to tell you. It is a very bare bones experience that has been lacking for years.

You pretty much did all that is to be done and did it the right way. Scout what you need and then draft them based off what you see on draft day. The scouting in the game is done so poorly there isn't much else to it.

Out of the 3 big sports in the US, baseball can easily make a case where scouting and developing young talent is the more important in the MLB than it is the other leagues, yet The Show has constantly made the entire drafting, scouting, and developing part of franchise mode feel like the least developed part of the mode.

Why so bare bones? Because it isn't tied in to their microtransaction card mode yet.
