RTTS player editing

Is there a way to edit the starting age of your newly created player in RTTS?

I also have to say I have been playing The Show from the very first edition and this version is the most confusing and poorly explained version I have ever seen. I don't understand having to choose a "buff" and then a secondary "buff" and what limits that will eventually put on your attribute progression. Let me know ahead of time that if I choose a power buff that my speed will never get above a certain level or whatever it does. I'm reduced to searching these forums to find some answers. Sorry for the rant.

All stats have a hard limit of 50. The archetypes and perks just add on top of that. It lets you customize your players archtype to fit what you feel you want your ballplayer to have. Not everyone is in love with it, but if it would just progress properly it feels like a more intuitive version of the old style. Main difference is you can truly fine tune exactly what you want. You I have a lvl 91 shortstop with a gold fielding archtype that can hit for 80 with power 80 and near 99 all fielding and speed. He is a beast and I got to tweak it just so that I could have the exactly design I wanted.

The only fault I feel as mentioned is progression is currently boinked.
