It would consume a lot of programmer hours to build the game for xbox and/or pc.

I understand the desire to capture a bigger audience and more revenue but I always believed limiting the game to one console gave us more content because all the developers were focused on playstation.

As a franchise player - manage mode - mlbts 20 was just about perfect so I wouldn't be upset with essentially the same game which I suspect is what we will get if they are expanding to other platforms.

I think it has more to do with the ongoing pandemic

It's important to note as well that MLB 14 (the first on PS4) launched in May (a month following the PS3 release). I can totally see that happening again...but who knows.

I think on the older generation consoles this would indeed require a lot of extra resources but the new systems are basically all pc’s under the hood.

After super bowl

As someone said I’d expect ps4 version out first and I hope like EA did that we her a FREE ps5 update in June July.. they didn’t give us the free update in 2014 I remember the hate about buying the game twice. But with most compsmies giving a free upgrade I’d imagine they have to.

For me it comes down to whether or not next gen is a rebuild or a port. If it’s a rebuild (sim NBA 2k) then I’d have less of an issue paying twice than I would if it’s just a port (sim Madden).

I'd love it if it meant it was coming to PC this year, but I doubt it. Still looking forward to it and ready to preorder haha.

Yea, they all use the same graphic APIs, right? Like DirectX, Vulkan, etc?
