Patch Release Dates: Does This Seem Off?

I put together a list of when each patch was released for the game and . . . I mean . . . something seems off to me. We all know that the latest patch, 1.08, was the one that really threw off fielding amongst other things. I'm sure they're working hard to fix the issues, but take a look at the chart below:

Doesn't it seem weird that the worst patch out of the bunch, 1.08, is the one that we've basically had to endure the longest? It's been 8 days now since the last patch and being as nothing was released today, tomorrow will be day 9. I don't understand why we've had to endure this latest, worst patch the longest of any of the other patches? I know they are aware of the issues based on the Players Tournament issues and our complaints, so why not just roll back to 1.07 while they work on 1.09 to fix the issues with 1.08?

Meh, just seemed weird to me.

Re: Patch Release Dates: Does This Seem Off?

Because patch 1.08 fixed other things that the community would lose if they rolled back the patch.

Not everyone is having issues with the fielding in the game, or any other issues, that others in the community are experiencing.

The fielding issues that people are experiencing can be remedied by switching to AUTO fielding while they work on the issues at hand, so the game isn't unplayable. It may not be ideal, but its a "fix" for now.

And a reason that its taking longer could be the fact that its not an easy fix. Just because they are aware of the issue doesn't mean that its a simple fix. They obviously thought they fixed the issue with 1.08, so if there are still issues, it stands to reason that there is something more complex causing the issues that is going to require more time to fix.

The days in between are irrelevant, when this issues are fixed the patch will come out. The fielding issues are on a broad scale and have been prevalent since release but have increasingly gotten worse as patches have been introduced. To send out a patch to undo a patch does not seem feasible to me.

I would hope that they are trying to address the fielding issues but it is a possibilty they arent looking into it any longer becuase somehow they believe they fixed it in 1.08 which clearly it hasnt. It is most likely taking so long becuase they are actually working on a fix and it may be solved but its much harder than they expected becuase its dealing with there new fieding and catching animations and they just need time to make sure that it is " fixed" this time to avoid further backlash. It also may be that they end up not being able to fix anything after trying and i dont see them reverting back to a previous update.

There are 3 parts to baseball. Hitting, pitching and fielding. Your fix is basically saying, hey, let's remove 33% of the game. Sorry man, that's not a fix to me. No offense to those that use auto fielding.

I understand the parts of baseball.

I'm just saying why punish those who are happy with other things they patched, because manual fielding is having issues, when those using manual fielding can switch to AUTO fielding as a workaround while they work on patch 1.09.

If that fix doesn't work then the alternative is to shelve the game until they release patch 1.09 and hopefully that will fix the issue. Or delete all patches and disconnect from the internet until they release patch 1.09 which will hopefully resolve the issues some in the community are having.

Again its not ideal, but there are options available for those who are having the fielding issues.

He offered you no “fix”, but a temporary workaround. Nothing you post is going to get it done any quicKer. You said it was “unplayable” so relax, hang it up until they respond.

Everything isn't a conspiracy man. The game isn't real baseball but I think it's the best overall a person could expect from a game.$60-70 in today's world might be a meal out for two. That same amount has given me countless hours of enjoyment and escape from a stressful job, everyday life stresses and just a huge amount of enjoyment. We all aren't fan boys and it's good to have differing opinions. But it seems like you go through this same dance very single year man. Honestly, don't you think your return on your annual 'investment' has been appropriate? It's 60 bucks, man.
