I did a roster file where I assigned the legends to their teams. I tried taking it into franchise and it keeps kicking the legends back into free agency. Am I doing something wrong or is this roster style not being supported?

Since you assigned them to teams, don't select allow legends as free agents option.

What do you mean assign them to teams?
How should you create a legend team anyway?
