Framerate

I’m sure there is a thread somewhere so forgive me. I’ve watched people on twitch and their framerate is smoother than mine. I actually watched Blake Snell haha. I have a nice newer 55 inch LG TV. Am I just screwed because I dont have a PS4 pro? I know this is a bad comparison but other games like Red Dead redemption don’t stutter at all to spite me not having a PS4 Pro. Any help is appreciated (even directing me to the right thread)

Re: Framerate

I have a 12 year old 1080p tv and an original release day PS4 and my game seems to run fine.

Re: Framerate

The biggest change I witnessed with MLB the Show last year is when I finally broke down and bought the PS4 Pro. It was literally a night and day difference in regards to graphics and framerate. All of the stuttering and frame issues I had seen before the upgrade to the newer console were completely resolved. I play on a 65' 4K screen but I choose to play on speed mode versus balanced or graphics. The looks and plays so much better on the PS4 Pro in my opinion. Other games like God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn are jaw dropping. I hope this helps.

Re: Framerate

You need a Pro in order for this game to run smoothly at 60 FPS.

Re: Framerate

If I get a pro am I able to transfer over saved data from my other games or do I need to start all over?

I Have the PS4 Pro and there is still frame rate issues, even at 60fps.
There definitely is a problem. No where near last year.
Disappointed and not very playable for me..

For some folks, it does indeed run well, without stutters or framerate issues on a PS4 Pro. Agreed, there are people having problems with framerate on the PS4 Pro, but there are also many who are not. For me, 19' runs as well or better than '18 on my PS4 Pro. There is however, a whole other thread devoted to the framerate concerns, so you might want to check there for more info.
