I haven’t played it yet but based off streams and other reviews I can say that I like the elements of MTO and I wish it was just in the franchise mode. If you don’t like the depth of franchise, auto everything and BAM, you got MTO and SDS just killed two birds with one stone.

I currently rotate pitchers so play once every 6 days. Having these MTO elements would impact the next series of games between starts. It would also help include narrative stories to bring immersion to franchise. Thinking of a MLB season, there is always a turning point, good or bad. It would be cool to look at your own franchise and see the turning points but with so much restriction in MTO, it just seems like a bit of a let down.

They did say MTO is part of a bigger whole so maybe this is what’s plan MLB 20. [emoji848]

I’m enjoying the mode for what it is but I absolutely cannot use the Padres. Not being able to use Urias, Tatis, Paddack, amongst all the other prospects just kind of kill the mode. I’m not trying to have Pirela or Guerra at short.

This mode is actually appealing to me more than I thought it would. I have always been interested in playing with other teams, but never wanted to get into a franchise because of all the work in running one. Now I can just pick a team and go. I can see myself fooling around with this quite a bit.
You can turn off injuries and put everything else on auto in franchise. I still don't see the need to devote all the developer time to this at the expense of franchise.

I wouldnt even compare M20 to the old season mode. It's like comparing HR Derby to Play Now. I do really hope 2020 sees great things for franchise, but I wont dwell on water under the bridge. I'm just lucky I'm winding up enjoying M20. I really didnt expect to give it a fleeting glimpse.

Same here. I won’t touch this mode without customization. I can live with the lineups but I don’t like (and never have) the way the default sliders play.

This is so close to being an awesome mode, but the "little things" it's missing make all the difference. The idea that I can't load a roster or even modify the default lineups just kill it for me. I'm stuck with Lucas Duda as the Twins' everyday DH? Ugh.

What thread would be a bigger hit (pun intended)— the Little Things thread, or the Little Things that are Missing from the Game thread...

You can modify your lineups and rotation on the last page of the menu. But you are stuck with the 25-man roster.
