Why can’t we preorder physical copies of mlb 18 on amazon?
Amazon only lets you preorder digital copies but not physical copies. However on the amazon Canada store you can preorder both.

you probably will be able to once it gets a little closer to release.
I would even think you'd be able to do so before Christmas gets here.

That's what I'm thinking too, although I went back and looked and I had the physical edition of 17 pre-ordered on October 28th last year.

Pre orders have been weird on Amazon lately where some games only the digital versions we're available to pre order.

Amazon doesn't put physical copies on their website until release date, so we don't get the discount. This is why I switched to Best Buy's Gamers Club Unlocked in September because of this nonsense. Every website has the physical copies except Amazon (this was the case with the NBA games in September). GCU is just the better investment. I've been a Prime member since 2014 and I made the switch. It's worth every penny if you are in the US.

It hasn’t always been like this though. I have preordered a physical copy of the game on amazon for the past 4 years.

Why would anyone in their right mind pre order '18 after the disastrous '17 , AND without seeing a bit of gameplay or have any other info about it?
