Start season/franchise as of today's standings?

Just getting started with this year's game. Is there any way to start a season or franchise with the current standings as of today?

I asked the same question, the best way I have found is to save right at the beginning and sim until today or whatever point of the season you want and see if you can get close. If you don't back and and load it back up and do that again. That's what I've done. Not the best but it's playable. Enjoy!

Great idea for a new feature. I thought of it during this years trade deadline while I'm in June of my 30 team Franchise and like past years, I'm going to do real life trades in my Franchise. But it's a lot to keep track of. And I also want to keep DFA, Releases, Call Ups/Send Downs accurate to real life too.

For me to do that I go online and look at the transactions for that day and mirror that in my Franchise.

It would be really cool if there was a way to play Franchise and have real life transactions automatically happen.

Obviously you wouldn't be able to simulate past the day of real MLB season.

For example if my Franchise was on June 20th. And the MLB season is on June 25th. When I advance to June 21st, the rosters automatically update to what happened in real MLB on that day. Any trade, injury, call up/ send down, DFA, waivers claim, and the lineup for that nights game was all done automatically.

I would totally play 1 game a day for the entirety of an MLB season if it kept every roster accurate and lineups up to date.

I try to do this now, but eventually, i always lose too many days, and it takes a while to setup every team, going thru every transaction. Would truly love this feature!
